If you’re like evry other trucker, you’ve probably gotten lost at some point before. There’s been times just going around town when I try to take a new route because road construction jams up all the other main roads.
Like I said my problem with doing that was I’d waste more time running into dead ends then it was worth.
Luckily technology being what it is has come a long way. So recently I ended up purchasing a GPS unit to solve my problems.
This portable GPS unit not only gets the job done but it’s a
12-volt unit. Besides having a lithium ion, battery like in cell phones, it comes with an adapter so you can plug it in. I actually grabbed my GPS unit because my brother had a similar one.
One feature that I couldn’t help pass up with these being portable was the ability to take it out of one car and put it right into the next. I know this came in handy for us when we went on family vacations and he took it out of his car and put it in the big van so that they would have less problems getting to our destination.
This specific GPS unit has several unique features. It comes preloaded with maps for all of North America or Europe, which is great for travelers. Also it comes with a built in travel kit that has a MP3 player, audio books, and a bunch of other features. So if you’re a all the time traveler or just a vacationer, I would recommend getting a GPS unit as there are several of times you won’t expect it to come in handy that it will.
