The non-slip rubber capped feet ensure the pan doesn't slide around too much while stirring and mixing. The lid is made of tempered glass and is vented to allow the escape of some steam to avoid pressure buildup.
Clean-up's a snap! When you're done cooking and the pan has cooled it can be cleaned using a damp mildly soapy cloth or rag. Repeat as needed before finishing up with a damp non-soapy cloth. You never want to submerge an electric pan in water, but it's fine to fill with water and let soak to loosen up tough stuck-on food.
